Our Septic Tank Pumping Process
Once you contact Discount Septic to pump your tank, then we’ll begin our airtight process.
Step 1
First, we recommend you prepare your property. This is as simple as locating the lid of your septic tank, and removing rocks, grass, or debris from the manhole cover.
Step 2
Our team will arrive at your property on time and park our septic truck in a convenient location. Then we’ll unload whatever tools we need available, and we’ll locate your septic tank.
Step 3
We’ll remove the manhole cover and insert our hose vacuum. Once that’s in place, we’ll thoroughly pump your septic tank until the levels are low and it runs like new again.
Step 4
After the scum layer has been removed and your septic tank is cleared, we’ll neatly pack up our equipment and leave you with a clean yard.
The whole process should take around an hour to complete, depending on the urgency of your situation.
If you experience broken pipes or plumbing issues, you may need to call in the extra help of a professional plumber. Our specialty is septic tank pumping, and we want to leave the plumbing to the plumbers. And if we think that you do need a plumber, we’ll let you know. We can even provide you with a solid recommendation.
After pumping, the scum layer will be removed and your septic tank will be cleared. We’ll then neatly pack up our equipment and leave you with a clean yard. The Discount Septic team is happy to provide you with fast service that you can count on.

- Pumping two 500-gallon septic tanks: $495
- Aerobic system pumping: $595
- If digging is required to gain access to the tank lid, this is an additional $75
